Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Is this NARA/Kriegsberichter photo Hinrich Schuldt ?
Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
The pic "103" on page 747 is Walter Knorr.

Another SS RKT from the NARA Kriegsberichter archive, probably LSSAH.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
According to a WAF member, this soldier was awarded the KC by Heinz Macher on April 1945.
Anybody knows his name?

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
AFAIK there were no RK awardings in Das Reich on April 1945.
Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Only unofficial Günther Lange SS-Sturmmann from the same 16 Kp. where Macher got his RK.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
It's very doubtful that Lange had enough time to be promoted through three grades.
Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
I understand. That's why I didn't id him. Also Macher in the same time wasn't in Das Reich. Possibly this man served in his Kampfgruppe in Küstrin, but no any info about any official or unofficial KC holders there. So I also think that he was not KC holder. But photo portrait is very nice!

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
So we have no reason to believe that the SS-Scharführer above is Günther Lange.
