As I can see Galland wears only KC and when Philipp recived his KC(22.10.40) Galland has allready recived oaks to KC(24.9.40).
The men with Galland has a rank of Hauptmann what Schöpfel at that time he got his KC(11.9.40) and when he succeeded Galland was.
Philipp recived his KC and oaks(24.8.41) as Oberleutnant and swords as Hauptmann(12.3.42).

It's Gerhard Schöpfel.
Hans Philipp didn't wear the Geschwader cuff tiltle.
Both had dimpled chin.
