This is the famous picture of RK ceremony for FJ after Eben-Emael. I only know Egon Delica & Walter Koch, what about the other?

Left to right--Delica,Witzig,Koch,Zierach,AH,Ringler,Meissner,Kiess,Altmann,Jäger.

Delica-wounded twice in war,survived war
Witzig-wounded on Crete,survived war
Koch-wounded on Crete,died in car accident October 1943
Zierach-survived war
Ringler-due to wound unfit for service after May 1940.Commanded II/2FJR in 1944,survived war
Meissner-KIA July 1944
Kiess-survived war
Altmann-captured at Crete,POW,survived war
Jäger-survived war

Not pictured:
Gerhard Schacht-survived the war
Martin Schächter--in hospital:survived the war
Kurt Student-survived the war
Heinrich Trettner-Student's Ia:survived the war

Yest it's definitely looks like him, but he still eearing his Ritterkreuz? I thought it was taken from him because he killed his friend?

Said to be the grave of Karl Neuhoff in Kentucky,USA:

Note "Uncle Charlie" on gravestone.Neuhoff had the nickname "Charlie" while serving with the FJ.

March 21, 1944. During one of many counterattacks, Rammelt is killed leading his men near the Continental Hotel. This photo show his body and the exact spot where he was shot in the head by New Zealander fire.



That Cassino photo is shown in a lot of books (larger version second photo-Purnell's History of the Second World War) but always cropped and doesn't shown Rammelt's body.
