Hi fellows!
I have tried to compile the info to create the Rangliste 01.05.1933 of the German Army. Biblio has announced to publish the original typewriter manuscript at a later stage, but I don´t know if this will indeed happen. Thus I created a ready reference list to include at least all Generals at this date. Please find enclosed the "list of rank seniority".
The list is almost structured in the same way the original lists are structured. Exceptions: The list includes last names, the list is not written in old German letters (Fraktur) and ... I missed out service medals. I count 47 Generals (3 Gen., 14 Gen. Lt. and 30 Gen. Maj.).
The reason I post it is the following: I would like to complete the list. I would especially like to know which command Gen. Maj. Schindler (later RK d. KVK recipient) held, as well as who commanded Infanterieführer V and VII.
Regards!
Stauff II
NOTE: The scans are not original sources but an attempt to compile the 01.05.1933, mainly with Biblio data and Keilig. The list can therefore include mistakes!

Hi Stauffenberg II,
Schindler's posting at 1 May 1933 seems to be a mystery. I have him commanding the 19th Infantry Regiment between 1 February 1931 - 1 March 1933, then as Military Attache in Warsaw between 1 April 1934 - 30 September 1935, followed by command of Wehrbezirkkommando Hamburg between 1 October 1935 - 1 May 1936, but there still remains a gap between I March 1933 - 1 April 1934.
As regards Infanterieführer V and VII, between 1 March 1933 - 1 April 1934, Infanterieführer V was Oberst (later General der Infanterie) Erwin Osswald, while Infanterieführer VII between 1 April 1933 - 1 August 1934 was Generalmajor (later Generalleutnant) Konrad Stephanus.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes,
AJK

Sveiks AJK! Great post!
Thank you very much. As regards Schindler and Military Attache from 01.04.1934 maybe the post stretched back to 01.04.1933.
As far as I know the Attache Service was reinstalled on 01.04.1933, with Köstring, Fischer (Herbert), Boetticher, Geyr and Falkenhorst.
Furthermore I have Kühlenthal as Military Attache from 01.04.1934 on, but I stretched Kühlenthal´s position back to 01.04.1933, too, because I couldn´t find a vacant position. Maybe some of the guys (Kühlenthal, Schindler) were not official Military Attache´s from 01.04.1933 but remained at the Staff of Group 1 or Group 2 to do this job and were unveiled on 01.04.1934.
Anyway ... it helps a lot. Thanks again.
