Hallo,

there is another biographical problem:

The Kdr. of my grandfathers Bataillon Major Frithjof Melzer awarded his DKiG together with my grandfather on August 3rd 1942 after the campain against Sewastopol/Krim!

In January 1943 he was leader of the GR 123 as Major...

Now, I found an Obersturmführer Frithjof Melzer, born December 4th 1896 in Berlin-Charlottenburg and KIA October 25th 1944 near Sworbe Vinitri (?)!

Are these to men the same and are further information known about them!?
