Was he from the Luftwaffe and with his Ju 88 ( I/KG 30 ) he sink (!!!) the british" Ark Royal" on September 26th 1939

He only reported a great water-column from his bombing when he returned.
Goebbels let the carrier sink and then Göring had to promote Frank to Leutnant.
The poor fellow was then promoted to honorary-member of the officers-mess of this carrier and Göring growled: "You owe me a carrier!"
