Afrika-Regiment 361 and Schützen-Regiment 115 commanders

I would like to know who were the regimental commanders of 361 and 115 regiments during Operation Crusader.

In some places I have read that the commander of 361 regiment was Oberst lt von Barby and in other place that it was Oberst lt Grund. The same with 115 Schützen. Oberst Marcks or Oberstleutnant Zincke?

Best regards

Antonio

According to Generalskartei in NARA T-78:

Afrikaregiment 361:

Kdr.
15.06.1941-31.03.1942: Grund (Heinz)

The evaluation of Heinz Grund done by Gen. Veith (Kdr. 90. lei. Div.) includes "Hat sich während der kurz. Einsatzzeit als Rgt. Kdr. in Afrika v. 9.-25.11.1941 bestens bew.[ährt]. Kann wegen Kdr. Wechsel v. mir nicht w.[eiter] beurt.[eilt] werden."

The notes re awards of Grund are including Spange z. EK I 20.12.1941 and wound badge in black (Feb., 1942). So obviously Grund was wounded.

So von Barby was obviously appointed on 01.04.1942, but I would not rule out that he was already tasked with the leadership before.

Marcks was tasked with the leadership of Sch.Rgt. 115 from 22.11.1941-05.01.1942. On JAN 6th, 1942 he was appointed Kdr. Sch.Rgt. 104. On 09.02.1942 he was appointed Kdr. Sch.Rgt. 155.

SR 361 was nearly destroyed during "Crusader". The KTB 90. leDiv mentions a Hauptmann Kirsten as Regimentsführer on 06.12.1941.
There are times in history when staying neutral means taking sides.
