Wolff was not "reaktiviert" in August 1939, he was placed z.V.

(Tannenberg-Erlass)

xx.03.1919 Charakter als Major
xx.xx.193x Major d.R.
27.08.1939 Oberstleutnant z.V.
There are times in history when staying neutral means taking sides.

Hello!
Who suceeded Oberst z.V. Horst von WOLFF as commander of the Infanterie-Regiment 478 ?
And who was at that time the commander of the Artillerie-Regiment 258 of the same 258. Infanterie-Division ?

Does anyone have a better bio than Keilig?
Schroughphie (it's pronounced Scruffy)
