I have this man identified as Major August (Kdr. Pi.Btl. d. 5. Pz.Div. during 1941). Is this his first or last name? Could anybody give me his complete name and some data please?

Oberst Friedrich August / Pz.Pi.Btl. 89/5. Pz.Div. received the DKiG on 18.10.42. Probably your man.
