08.1942 – 01.1943: CO of Stb./FlakRgt. 99 (mot.)
So between 20th and 26th November 1942 Obstlt. Obergethmann formed the Kampfverband Obergethmann in Oblivskaja.
BUT which Stb./FlakRgt. did he command before??
Fate of Obergethmann??
Oberst Stahel, Rainer:

21.05.1943 – 05.06.1943: CO of 22. FlakBrig.
In November 1942 Obst Stahel formed the Gruppe Stahel, which was dissolved some weeks later.
What was he commanding after the Gruppe Stahel.
Fate of Stahel??

Re: Oberstleutnant Obergethmann & Oberst Stahel
Hello,
here's an interesting tidbit about the past of Oberst Obergethmann. In the early 1930s he worked in the central sales office of Austrian steel producer Österreichisch-Alpine Montangesellschaft in Vienna. After the failed Nazi putsch of July 1934 the Austrian government forced his employer to sack Obergethmann because he was known to be a believing National Socialist. Obergethmann returned/emigrated to Germany where he soon persued a military career.
Does anyone know if Obergethmann held German or Austrian nationality between 1918 and 1934?

Of course they do not mention that Obergethmann was already a Soviet prisoner when the article appeared ...
There are times in history when staying neutral means taking sides.
