PANZER AFRIKA DIARY - who can read sutterlin ?

#1

Post by fran1942 » 28 Dec 2005, 04:00

Hello, I have an awesome diary completely filled out for a panzer gunner in North Africa.
Only problem is that it is handwritten sutterlin.

Have you ever wondered what life as a panzerman in the afrikakorps was like. Well, as we translate this diary you will know.

Is anyone willing to help me work on this project ? You will have to be able to read sutterlin.

Thanks for any offers of help.

Philip

Hello fran1942!
I can read Sütterlin, but my English isn't perfect for translation. Perhaps I can "translate" the ciary from Sütterlin into "modern" German. After this someone can translate the diary into English.

Hi,

I should also be able to read it, perhaps we share it?

Merry Christmas season,
Stefan
