I'm looking for information on Hauptmann (or Major) Helmuth (or Hellmuth) Schildhauer. Patzwall and Scherzer's Das Deutsche Kreuz 1941-1945 lists him as a Hauptmann in I./GR 512 on 29.10.1943 when he won the DKiG. I've seen a tunic that is ascribed to him which shows loops for the DKiG, but also for the EKI (First and Second Wars), as well as the ribbon and Spange for the EK II (First and Second Wars), which are still on the tunic.
I would be interested in any information on his service record, biographical information, or photos that anyone may have.
Thanks in advance for any help.
