SALUT!

One of the figures in the German Armed Forces I admire the very most is General Heinz Guderian. He is one of the many military leaders that lead me to believe that ultimately the rank and file of Germany were different than the political leadership at the top. I once read that while in Allied Captivity with another general, possbily Hoth, there was a discussion about how they could have lost, and whether they were ultimately on the right side. I would paraphrase what he sad like this: "The Problem was never of ideology, National Socialism as ideology is fundamentally correct, the problem was always of the political leadership of Adolf Hitler." I was wondering if any contributors knew when this conversation took place, and what the exact quote is.
