Can anyone tell me what happened after the war to General Busse? Was he captured and sent to Russia? If so did he survive?

Busse survived and wrote "The Last Battle of 9th Army" in 1954. I don't know if he was turned over to the Russians in 1945.

Hi!

Busse surrendered to the Americans after the 9. Army broke out toward the American lines and was a POW until 12 December, 1947. He later became West Germany's Director of Civil Defence and died in Wallerstein on October 21, 1986.
