WHO ARE THESE GENERALS PLEASE?

#1

Post by Jeremy Dixon » 20 Feb 2006, 20:44

The first photo does anyone know who the generals are, I thought the man on the right in glases might be Hausser or perhaps Reichenau??? Not sure?

2nd photo: The general in the foreground is General der Flieger (later Generaloberst) KORTEN, who is the general in the background.

The tall guy on the first picture is Generaloberst Friedrich DOLLMANN.Close to him on the right is Paul HAUSSER and on the left ,even though the picture is not very cleart, I´d put my money on General der Infanterie Gustav von ZANGEN.
Onm the second picture I do not see KORTEN.
Regards.

In the first photograph, I believe the man on the extreme right is von Reichenau. I have noticed he adopts this particular stance in many photographs with his hands clasped behind his back.

I'm afraid I don't know any of the others.

Best regards,

DAVID

I am afraid I can't agree with you there David.
It seems to me he is Werner Ostendorff as Dieter said.

Fatih

Von Reichenau then in France with the SS-style eagle on the upper left sleeve ???
100 %: Ostendorff, Chef des Stabes of "Papa" Haußer !!
