Did Heer panzergrenadiers wore Splitter camo uniforms? (i think during the combats of september 19th, died Fdw Rudolf Volker and Eduard Weber http://www.kriegstote.org/cgi-bin/basep ... ll&Id=2348.
According Don Arturo Carucci in "Salerno Settembre 1943" on 19th thirty germans attacked the british (the attack started from Ponte Fratte, perhaps soldiers of Kampfgruppe Moldenhauer?) and after twelve hours they returned in sixteen).
Finally according http://it.cultura.storia.militare.narki ... talia-1943 some researchers say that SS-Polizei Regiment 15 were in Salerno.
I read on "Salerno nella storia: I racconti di Avalanche" that on september 21th, soldiers of a Gestapo units searched men in Coperchia to fortify Point 270 (south of this town).
