Strength as of 1 June was 11,021, probably including HiWi. A mobile Kampfgruppe consisting of III. and 14./Gren.-Regt. 898, 1./Pi.-Btl. 343, and 7./Art.-Regt. 343 was ordered to Normandy on 22 June and began to arrive in the zone of 352. Inf.-Div. between 26 and 28 June. The rest of the division remained at Brest where it was destroyed in September. It does not appear that a Verwaltungsdienste, Sanitätsdienste or Veterinärdienste were organized; the division probably relied upon the Fest.-Kdt. Brest for those services.

Hope that helps.

Hi Rich

Thanks a lot for these great datas... :D but obviouly I already found them on the forum..
However, just some little corrections about locations (I know that sometimes it's not easy to read infos from maps or documents) :
1./852 : Ploudalmézeau
2./852 : Lanildut
4./852 : Ploudalmézeau
1./633 : Kerglonou (1 km south of Lanidut)
2./633 : Kergostintin ( 3 km northwest of Ploumoguer)
3./633 : Lanfeust
(For me, it's more easy, it's my region... )

I already have some infos, but I research all documents (maps, gliederung, Bödenstandige waffen, etc...) from this division...and also names of battalion's commanders, especialy for GR.851 (Oberst Baumann, PC Lesneven in july 1943).

Best regards
Lo
