On 1 August 1942 renamed II./AR 190 (although the source has conflicting info and says that it actually became I./AR190 - this would make more sense, so probably did not in fact happen

On 10 November the battalion was the second artillerie battalion of Division z.b.V. Afrika, posted outside Tobruk, and was equipped with a staff including a signals platoon and two batteries with two light machine guns and four 7.5cm mountain guns each.
