Hello to all :D; more follows..............................

Advance towards Kolbuszowa 7-9 Sep 1939.

On September 7, 1939 at 08:00 hours the I. / PR 3 began the attack and surpassed Bochnia without enemy contact. The II. / PR 3 moved towards Tarnow by Bochnia and was stopped because the bridges in Tarnow were destroyed. In the evening was organized the Kampfgruppe v. Thoma (II. / PR 3; I. / SR 2 and 1. / Pz Abw. Abt 38) having as its mission: to conquer the bridge over the Dunajec in Biskupice.

At 18:20 hours the II. / PR 3 began the attack, once on the route leading to Biskupice, it turned northeast toward Fw. Szatanowka. Despite the darkness the attack continued and with the bridge in view it blew up in the sky. Thus the detachment under Oberst v. Thoma could not win the Dunajec crossing on this day.

Advance towards Kolbuszowa 7-9 Sep 1939.

On September 8, 1939 continued the fight at Biskupice, at dawn Polish troops belonging to 3 Pulk strzelców podhalańskich, 20 Pulk piechoty and III. Battalion 4 Pulk strzelców podhalańskich jumped to the attack in order to dislodge the Germans. But Oberstleutnant Baumgart counterattacked with the 6. and 8. Companies of PR 3, however during the fights Baumgart was killed along with his communications officer, Oblt Hild, and the struggle degenerated into disjointed actions. Nevertheless during the morning the resistance was yielding slowly and around Zabno the Kampfgruppe v. Thoma captured a large number of prisoners.

Hello to all :D; thanks Njorl . Now more follows..............................

Advance towards Kolbuszowa 7-9 Sep 1939.

That very September 8, 1939, while crossing Zabno heading north, the reinforced group received a report about a hostile machine gun company moving from west to east, the Polish subunit was attacked and destroyed. Later this kampfgruppe captured the bridge over the canal located about 300 meters east of Targowisko. There it received the order by radio to proceed towards Olesno, a town which was conquered and in doing so also destroyed an enemy artillery battery nearby.

The Kradsch. Btl 2 (reinforced) moved from Tarnow by Lisa Gora (09:30 am) - Radomysl Wlk (12:10 hours) and the Wisloka north of Przeclaw, reaching Kolbuszowa by evening.

Hello to all :D; more follows..............................

Advance towards Kolbuszowa 7-9 Sep 1939.

On September 9, 1939 at 04:00 hours, a Rifle battalion reached Radomysl Wlk. and found the bridge over the Wisloka in Przeclaw destroyed, after noon continued its advance towards Kolbuszowa . Due to the destruction of bridges, the heavy vehicles had to cross the Dunajec and the Biala by fords, hence the 2. Pz launched its riflemen and motorcyclists forward.
