HQu in Pappenheim family castle in Iszkaszentgyöry Hungary

Hi!

We are writing a book about count Pappenheim family and the family castle in Iszkaszentgyöry Hungary close to the city of Szekesfehervar.

In 1944 castle was run by count Alexander zu Pappenheim (born 1905, died in 1995 in Salzburg). October 16th 1944 family had to leave they home castle because of the approaching Red Army. They left with little belongings believing to be able to return back to home. That would not happen. Castle was nationalized and used for various purposes. Housing communist refugees from Greece, municipality office etc. Now there is a local school in the castle premises.

Late 1944 or early 1945 count Pappenheim returned briefly to assess the war damages to the castle and found out that castle was serving as a German army headquarters. I would be interested to find out which headquarter was located in the castle. Can anyone help?
