Hello,
A friend of mine is not a member of ahf, but he asked me if i can ask it here, He's documenting history of the town/area where he lives.
He's looking for all the info about the battle of Mol (Belgium, written "Moll" in german documents) in 1940, where 25 german soldiers died, possible of the 192. infanterie Division, 56. Infanterie division and 12. Swarz regiment....
He is looking for the personal numbers and names of those 25 german soldiers, but he went stuck in all possible ways (archives), his final hope is to ask it here. Also if there are some small tales/story's/anectdotes,... of that battle, everything is welcome.
Thanks in advance!
Tom Oliviers

Re: Questing about the battle of Moll (belgium 1940)
Hello Tom,
I think that I find out that the fallen german soldiers belonged to the 56. Infanterie Division, Infanterie Regiment 192. (an 192.Infanterie Division doesn't exist).
http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gli ... n/56ID.htm
http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gli ... /IR192.htm
Their opponents where French troops who belonged to the 18° Régiment de Dragons
http://www.chars-francais.net/new/index ... mitstart=2
That regiment was equiped with H-35 (Hotchkiss tanks) and S-35 (Somua Tanks)
Maybe (but I am not sure at all) are those soldiers burried at the Soldatenfriedhof in Lommel

Hope it helps and sorry for my poor english.
Kindly regards
Prosper
