Gruppe "Schlesien" during "Grün", 1938

Hello,

Does anyone hear something about this "Gruppe"?
It should have been part of the 2. Armee (Rundstedt). I guess it was a ad hoc tactical HQ which purpose was to command reserve or territorial units flankguarding or covering the army main effort. But does anyone know more about it?

The "Gruppe Schlesien" was part of the "Sudetendeutschen Freikorps (SDF)" which on october 1st 1938 had a strength of 34.500 men (spread over 41 Batl.) The SDF had 4 Gruppen: Gruppen Schlesien, Sachsen, Bayrische Ostmark und Alpenland/Donau. Each Gruppe had 4 or 5 Batl's, each 4 Coy's strong, each Coy 150-200, often 300 men strong. SDF-HQ was based in Donndorf in Bayern. CO of Gruppe Schlesien was Willi Brandner.
Die Gruppe Schlesien consisted on 27. September 1938 of 11 Batls with 6.851 men. From Ratibor to Zittau its Coy's and platoons formed a line along the border. HQ was in Breslau. On september 28th 1938 the Gruppe was plit in 2 Gruppen: Hirschberg and Breslau. Besides performing terroristic attacks its troops were used for recon and as guides for the Wehrmacht in preparation of the ocupation of CZS.
