I came upon a document, made by KdS Untersteiermark to HSSPF Alpenland on 24. April 1944. Document is about return of V-Mann to SD, who was in W-SS.
In it is written: "Er wurde zum 25. 3. 44 als SS-Ers. Res. einberufen und auf hiesigen Antrag hin vom Ergänzungsamt der Waffen-SS - Ergänzungsstelle Alpenland (XVIII) in Salzburg, mit Schreiben vom 3.4.44 Abt. W Az. 21d10 RG/K, bis zum 10.5.44 zurückgestellt." V-Mann was sent to SS-Kraftf. AuE.Abt Weimar-Buchenwald.
This is the first time, that I came across rank of "SS-Ers. Res." (would full title be "SS-Ersatz-Reservist"?). Was this official rank?
