Waffen-SS hand signals
in this stock footage of Kampfgruppe Hansen from the Ardennes Offensive, near Poteau, we see an officer use a hand signal i've not been able to find on any websites detailing German military command gestures of the time. Any help identifying what this gesture means would be greatly appreciated. Gesture appears from 0:29-0:33. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP-32s5V03I
Thanks again

Re: Waffen-SS hand signals
Also note that the SS-Rottenführer who made the hand signal was from the recce battalion of the Leibstandarte (not KG Hansen, though other soldiers in the Poteau footage were indeed from KG Hansen)

Re: Waffen-SS hand signals
Christoph, thank you so much for all your help; do you happen to have a link that lists the hand signals of motorized troops? I'd greatly appreciate it.
Harro, I haven't heard of the recce battalion and when i google it all that comes up is "reconnaissance". Is that what recce means?
Thanks for all your help

Any information about Flemisch in German service (Waffen SS, OT, NSKK, Kriegsmarine, DRK, ...) during WWII is welcome.

Indeed, it is short for reconnaissance battalion. In German the AufklärungsabteilungKennyChief wrote:Harro, I haven't heard of the recce battalion and when i google it all that comes up is "reconnaissance". Is that what recce means?
