war diary 2. Panzerdivision ?

According to the NARA and BArch/MilArch indexes for 2. Pz.division , there is little material available after 1943.

Recently, I ran across an interesting statement in one of the Foreign Military studies, document A-904 (2. Pz.Div., Jun-Sept44). In the foreword, the project overseer claims that the author, Gen. von Lüttwitz made a request when preparing the document, to "take him to Münster for the purpose of digging up his "notes and war diaries" which he said were buried there."

While apparently the request was denied, the overseer expresses regrets at not granting the request.

Was there any later publications or discoveries that would indicate von Lüttwitz dug up his old documents ?

thanks,

Mad Dog
