Might anyone know the name of the Wehrmacht officer in charge of the Pigeon Service?
In Ben MacIntyre's Double Cross, he says the officer was interrogated after the war and I'm trying to find the MI5 report , presumably in the National Archives in Kew but I need a name.
THANKS,
Bernard

Senta is very friendly with the pigeons. The dog in the army learns
to carry the pigeons to the front line. There the birds are provided with
valuable messages and sent to the rear

Two photos of the sled dog unit set up by the Swedish volunteer Åke Aspegrén and attached to 6. Gebirgs-Division, as far as I know it was the only such unit.

Hello to all :D; more...................

Seppl the paratrooper dog!

Oblt Pelz owned a small dog that had his own parachute and jumped with him; Pelz's reasoning was to show the FIK men (Fallschirminfanterie Kompanie - Heer) that even a dog could jump........................
