The photo looks a little bit doctored to me.

Well, th photo in the background is for sure one of the most well known Tiger photos on earth. Maybe Thorolf can comment on how this photo came into his "collection".

Here we go! A few years ago I was at a trade show for weapons and so on in Dortmund/Germany.There I saw this pic in a staple of others and recognized my grandfather. I´ve bought it for a few bucks - just to have it in my collection.
It´s very interesting for me, to read your comments to the picture. May be, that it is a photomontage - but I like it too... May be my grandfather is standing in front of a kind of wallpaper with the tank on it??
cheers, Thorolf

They weren't able to produce coloured photo wallpapers in those days. So it clearly must be a photo montage.

How do you like this one? Don´t know, wether it is Waffen-SS or Wehrmacht, but I like it.
Cheers from Thorolf

Hi there anyone and alltogether!
This Picture is one of my favourites. It shows us a young soldier from the 12.SS-Panzerdivision Hitler-Jugend at the Normandy-front in July 1944. May be that he´s just 18 years of age.
Have a nice time, Thorolf
