What do you mean from a movie? A film shot during WWII or a WWII movie? Is the image genuine? ...If it is, what a lucky man... I hope his luck lasted and he survived the war.

This is part of a film showing units of the 20th Estonian SS Diviosn after combats in the Riigi Bridgehead at Narva in early 1944

I have the original copy of the French edition of Signal in front of me. Like most of the colour reproductions in Signal the focus is not sharp due to printing process and the colours are rather muted. This one has certainly been ' enhanced ' or ' improved '. The colours are brighter and the whole picture is sharper, but nothing else has been altered.

Hmmm, looks like a fake to me. The man on the left looks very old for a front line unit. His haircut is not one that was in use. This kind of cap was also rarely seen in 1944. The SS-Unterscharführer has a splendid M44 jacket. Too splendid for the field ? And he does not wear any medals, quite odd for what looks like a veteran NCO.
