Heer and SS schools etc...

#1

Post by Christoph Awender » 08 Apr 2005, 13:58

Hello!

For my project about training and tactics of the Wehrmacht and W-SS I want to collect a list with various schools where soldiers, NCo´s and officers were trained.

Any additional informations, corrections to this list is very much appreciated.

We have a sticky also on Wehrmacht school personnel in the ABR forum : http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=122616
Any additions and corrections are much appreciated there, too.

Hi Chris
Thanks for the link. Sorry I cannot add to it at the moment, but I am interested in any sources for the following from you webpage:

Offizier-, Fähnrich-Kriegsschulen
Schule I für Offz.Anw.d.Inf. in Dresden with two Lehrgruppen.

Cheers
Duncan

Christoph,

Can I firstly say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for starting this project. You are quite right in saying it is hard to find information on this subject. As a reseasrcher I totally agree. Good luck in your work and thank you again for helping others in this area.

Hello Christoph
I would be interested in knowing about sniper schools, Wehrmacht or SS, during the war. Unless you have listed them already.

Hello.....
In a book I got here somewhere, there is listed a "Festungspionierschule" at Berlin/Karlshorst, founded in 1938
I can find the title of the book if you want it for reference... Can`t remember which it was right now :?

Not sure if this is the same as you allready listed as Pionierschule 1 though ??

Another question....
Only schools located in Germany, or also in occupied countries?
