Hint # 1: Most of the unit didn't see any action before it was disbanded. Except for one battalion from that unit, which was attached to the Division "Superga" during the final fighting of the Tunisia Campaign.

Hint # 2: The men in the picture belonged to the unit, but not to that battalion, which saw action in North Africa.

Hi Amateur,
Maybe you should give us the answer, and make another quiz. Personally my knowledge about Italian force is bad.
Cheers

Well, the answer is Raggruppamento Frecce Rosse :D

Since, you actually guessed almost the answer - Italian and three arrows - then I think you have deserved to ask the next question. Especially since this quiz in not very active for the time being. So, please, give us a new question, Arto!

Hi Amateur,
Okei, my turn. By the way were are others? Before it seems that it was you and Scharf. We need other people here.

He fought in two different wars for his homeland, he was a SS soldier, and died in a war far away from his homeland.
Who was he?

Yes, I agree. But there's not much you and I can do about it.

I think you should narrow it down a bit. There were probably thousands of SS volunteers who all fit these creteria.

Hi Amateur,

You have a reason, I just thought it could be too easy. He dissapereaded/died in a aircraft accident in 1965 in South East Asia, but he wasn´t a german (of course). Just to make sure not to think in the soldiers of this "Devil´s guard". After the WWII he wore a green beret.

Name a foreign volunteer unit, which committed a mutiny and partly changed the sides. Quite a few of its combatants ended up in the French Foreign Legion. Division name is enough.

Was the division made from foreign volunteers, or they just formed part of it?
Mutiny: Handschar, but Foreign Legion no?
Ukrainians
Georgians

It was clearly a foreign volunteer division, only senior officers were German. One of the nationalities you've mentioned is right, but the bulk of the volunteers originated from another part of Soviet Union, which is an independent country today.
