Hello Eddy,

Thank you very much. This clears it all, he was for sure a Walloon-volunteer.

Greetings,
Mike

Hi, Mikedc,
I received from the Salouel Municipality a copy of the birth certificate of M. Capoen.
Born on April 11th, 1921.

Three interesting things in that document :
- The maiden name of his mother looks Flemish to me : Clementine Van T.
- While living in France, his parents got married in Belgium. The document his handwritten, the name of the town where they got married is hard to decipher, something like "Shiaerbeck". Does it sounds something to you?
- There is a mention in the margin of the document : He was stripped of his Belgian nationality on Nov. 7, 1945.

Other mentions in the document are personnal, no interest here I think.
If you want a scanned copy, I don't mind, send me a MP with an email address, just tell me why you make that research, thanks.

Regards
Daniel

Hi, Storman,
Call me Daniel

Comparing "Schaarbeek" to the stuff written in this document, yes, it looks to be that.
Thanks !

Daniel
