This was planned Waffen-SS division, but never reached anything but paper-stage in some letters. Does anyone have any info on what OoB would be?

Regards,
Klemen

Sounds unbelievable but, a "Muselman" was what concentration camp prisoners called those other prisoners who were "walking skeletons". To me, it sounds impossible that the SS would force them out in the war. They could barely get from here to there!

"Muselmanisch" is an old-fashioned German word meaning "muslim". In this context the word most certainly refers to the fact that Turkmen people, who were to be recruited for the division, are muslims.

Hi,
Unique and bulk of this unit was 1. Ostmuselmanisches SS-Rgt.
About this subject to see J. Hoffman "Die Kaukasier", Werbung für die Muselmanische SS-Division 11/1/1944, BA-MA, RH 53-23/52.

Regards!

Maybe this stamp on a document relating to a horse being used by this regiment?
the above stamp reads for FP 56509...
Any ideas on this document and the unit?

Why would anyone stamped a horse passport with a feldpost number?
Also there seemed to be a spelling error in the other stamp?

The document appears to be written in the Latvian language.
It is not easy to read the Feldpostnummer in the stamp. However, Feldpostnummer 56509 belongs to the Kriegberichter-Kompanie of the 1. SS-Pz.Div. "Leibstandarte"......
