Leon Rupnik is one of greath slovenian people and former of slovin domobran army who fought brave ageinst comunism until the end of 2.WW, sade part is that he chuse to return to Slovenia to face comunists cort which sentence him to death like the mayority of his brave domobran solders ! His son Vuk Rupnik ( one of the best domobran officers ) was lucky enough to ascape from the train when the english return domobrans to the partizan comunists killers ! Evene this days in slovenia are found mass graves filled with brutaly executed domobrans together with their family members ( wifes and children ) !

Leon Rupnik was not at all fighting just against communism. However it is true that in the period 1943-45 when he was president of so called Ljubljanska pokrajina partisans in Slovenia were under communist command they were not all communists. Germany was already weak and in summer 1943 it was decided that some national concesions will be given to Slovenes which lived before under Italian occupation. But what is even more important general Rupnik considered Germans as real allies, believing that they will win the war. For example when German army occupied Ljubljanska pokrajina after the capitulation of Italy he made a public proclamation that German army ''came as an ally because plutocratic west and bolsheviks made an agreement that Slovenia will be a communist country''.

Also Slovenian home guard which was fully supported and even led during some peridos by general Rupnik was handing over allied pilots to Germans. Near Borovnica for example five American pilots were captured and handed over to Germans. In the trial after the war one of the leading officiers of Slovene home guard Milko Vizjak comfirmed that this was common practice. It is true however that some pro-western elements inside Slovene home guard sometimes also helped allied pilots like Rudolf Hirschegger but this does not apply to Leon Rupnik.

Police which was part of his administration also participated in the holocaust. For example in September 1944 they arrested remaining Jews in Ljubljana like family of rich merchants Pollak. Rupnik was also well known by his public antisemitic inflammatory speeches. Stanko Kociper son in law of Leon Rupnik and also and important figure in Slovene home guard firmly believed in collaboration also after the war in exile even claiming that Germans did not use Slovenians for their purposes but the other way around Slovenians were to weak for the fight against partisans alone and ''used Germans''.
