Re: Kalmücken Kavallerie Korps
Hi Jan
Many thanks! Not many books dealt with the Kalmücken Kavallerie Korps even in German or in Russian. Do you have Joachim Hoffmann's Deutsche und Kalmyk book?
I would be most interested to see the picture of the Supreme Lama of the Kalmücken Kavallerie Korps

Re: Kalmücken Kavallerie Korps
Antonio J. Munoz' in his "The East came West - Muslim, Hindu and Buddhist Volunteers in the German Armed Forces 1941-1945" (2001) lists the same OoB and dates it to "August 1943" when the unit was designated Kalmücken Kavallerie Korps.Endzeit Jan wrote:OoB from Kalmücken Kav.Korps:

Hi Semenov,
Yes, especially on the photos sent on 05 Feb 2014. I wonder how a kalmuck got to a cossack unit. It seems that germans never had an idea that they are quite different people from cossacks.
with best regards
