Unit/ethnic symbol?

#1

Post by Poot » 14 Aug 2014, 22:46

All,
Are any of you familiar with a unit symbol or 'ethnic indicator' that would consist of an eight pointed star, or two of them, one smaller than the other? I'm not even sure that this is a unit designator or not, but I'm trying to narrow down a symbol that has been found on some rifle stocks. This could also be from a repair depot, so the unit/ethnic symbol angle is a simple guess on my part.
Thank you,
Pat

Most respectfully
