I think the second medal ribbon is the Finnish Winter War medal with swords, please can anybody identify the first medal.

The first one is Medal of Freedom 2nd class - 2. luokan vapaudenmitali.

Indeed, Borg served from December 1939 until May 1940 as a volunteer in the Swedish Volunteer Corps (Svenska Frivilligkåren).
