Joseph-August Ricord meet the chief of the french auxiliaries of the Gestapo in Paris Henry Lafont on october 1941. He soon became a close collborator in charge of Financial affairs. From 1942, he organised an important racket on main nightclubs, cabarets and restaurants of the Nights of Paris helped with a team of 5 men. He held numerous nicknames (Monsieur André, El Commandante, El Viego, Lucien Darguelles, l'Ancêtre).
On 18 august 1944, Lafont give him and 2 men (Ménard and Herbert) the mission to drive a part of the treasure of the rue Lauriston (HQ of french Gestapo) made of jewels, art, gold and money in spain. They disappear in Hendaye. The total amount of the treasure was evaluated to 700 millions of francs in 40's.
On march 48 Ménard was killed in an eastern suburb of N.Y. On 1949 Herbert was killed in a nightclub at Mexico.
Arrested on 1971 in Paraguay where he own a Motel Restaurant. The Chief Prosecutor of the South District of NY Whitney North Seymour considered Ricord like one of the most important heroin supplier of USA since 5 years. From hidden laboratories in the Persian Gulf helped by former members of french gestapo.

Joseph-August Ricord was not prosecuted in France and files of french auxilliaries of the german Gestapo of rue Lauriston destroyed.
Facts reported by Philippe Aziz (author of several books upon french auxilliaries of the gestapo). He conducted investigations upon him.
