I'm looking for info, esp. background info on Btl., on this unit, that was stationed in Veldes (Bled). They (around 70-80 men) were subordinated to SD and were considered most ruthless COIN fighters in the region. CO was Hschaf. Wünsche.
Regards,
Klemen

Re: 4. Kmp./Schuma Btl. XI (Veldes; 1944-45)
I'm resurrecting this topic, with some more information on this unit. The 11th Schuma-Btl was formed in Sosnowice (Poland; there are several settlements with this name, don't know which Voivodeship) with just 3 companies (1., 2. and 4.; the 3rd was never formed). The majority of the personnel came from "Russian camp of Malodečni" (I believe this is the Belarusian town of Maladzyechna), and the training was done in Minsk.
According to the personnel of 4th Kmp., that was sent to Slovenia (to Bled/Veldes) in June 1944, the personnel was primarily of Russian and Belarusian origin. In the 4th Kmp., there were these Russian officers: Ltn. Vladimir Gostikov, Oblt. Teoder Perčev, Ltn. Lidzike, etc.
Does anyone have any other information about this unit? Is this 11th Schuma Btl. the same as the "Schutzmannschaft Bataillon 11 (litauische)", which is the only Schuma Btl. with Nr. 11?
