Transport Korps Speer Regiment No.7

This organization was part of the NSKK (National Socialist Motorized Korps). I believed it was separated from the NSKK mid 1944 and became part of the Wehrmacht. My father, whom is Italian, now deceased, served in the Transport Korps Speer in 1944. He was part of Regiment No.7. Here is a picture of him, actually the only picture of him. It is an official picture of him as this picture appears in his Soldatbuch which I have. Just like a bit more information on this organization. He spoke a bit about some adventures. He was mainly employed as a musician, but did guard duty and transport equipment from Malborghetto where I think he was based to Villach in Austria, which was part of Germany. The letters "SP" appeared on his left collar.

Here is a basic introduction to Transportkorps Speer. These Osprey books were widely published and you can find them listed by used book sellers on the internet. I would be surprised if you had to spend more that $15.00 US to buy one in mint condition.

Thomas, Nigel, Carlos Caballero Jurado and Simon McCouaig. Wehrmacht Auxiliary Forces. No. 254. London: Osprey Publishing, 1992. ISBN: 1 85532 257 9. Pb with laminated cover. 48p. Illus. Color profiles.

Yes, I have a copy of that book and it does have a member of the Transport Korps Speer Regiment No.7 with a Schmeisser MP-40. Thank for the reply. In this picture of another member of the Transport Korps Speer how the right collar patch looks. this picture I found on the Internet.
