I am looking for career information on a number of USN Admirals during WW II one of whom ist Arthur Byron Cook.
Does anybody know, to what duty he was assigned after he was relieved as Commandant, 10th Naval District/Commander, Caribbean Sea Frontier in May 1944. He was placed on the retired list in December 1944 so there is a gap of about half a year.
Thanks to anyone who can help me.

My records show that he was unassigned during the period in question.
