The list below is the names of senior Allied and Axis general officers died as a consequence of German occupation from 1939-1945, generals promoted posthumously are not included:

(However, the list is not entirley complete, and some needs correction. The Soviets and Germans [generals] will follow soon)

Lt Cnel Marie Charles Jean Baptiste MARIOT was killed under bombs in Oflag X-B of NIENBURG on 1945 02 04 and not in NUREMBERG.

So, Mariot was not a brigadier general? Was he a lieutenant colonel at the time of his death?
