Incredible - entered 'Hicks,' 'Philip Hicks,' 'Pip Hicks' and 'Brigadier Hicks' ... and not a mention of this officer anywhere. One might assume that his quite prominent featuring during the 1944 Arnhem operation would evoke some discussion.

Anyway, am after his career/movements between his evacuation from Dunkirk with 2nd Royal Warwicks May/June 1940 and his appointment as OC 1st Airlanding Brigade (1st Airborne Division) on 6th April, 1943.

Regards
