Siamese Military Forces

Postby Seanus on 05 Jul 2006 06:18

Hi,
New to the forum but I love what I see.
Can anyone help with any information on the uniforms of the Siamese, and later Thai Army?
Also, and this is the biggy, I'm trying to locate any uniform information on the Wild Tiger Corps/Scouts/Rangers. This was King Rama VI's version of the Territorial Army. Any help would be great. :D

What period are you looking for? For WWII there is my friend's site:

For the Wild Tiger Corps, you can try some pictures of King Vajiravhud himself because he liked to wear their uniforms. Also contact the National Museum because some of them are preserved in there.

Here's a picture of King Vajiravhud with members of the Wild Tiger Corps (scanned from 2006's January issue of Art & Culture Magazine).

These Men I think are wearing WW1 Italian Inspired Uniforms. But most of the uniforms I saw are inspired by Russia.
