I believe it is a Krupp M1907 7.5cm L/14 mountain gun. I think Paraguay purchased a total of 8 of these weapons.

Hi Friends

The paraguayan and Bolivian Army used full uniforms with german influence, and officer used german style rank insignia.

So, the uniforms of both armies is very same.

During the chaco campaign because the hard climate condition many officer not used regulation uniforms, only shirts in the field, the bolivian used khaki shirts and paraguayan green shirts.

Ifound one book about regulaments of bolivian army uniforms in 1912, i believe the regulament still used during Chaco war.

My research into this war is to find out about foreign solders who may have served in the Bolivian Army. Not so much the higher ups but at the fighting level. My cousin David Whytehead Sibree told the family he was there but so far I've not found anything and I have not found any referance to foreign soldier fighting unlike the the Spanish civi War were was alot.
So is there anyone that can help.

Hello, I'm interested in this conflict and have been reading Adrian English's book "The Green Hell." It mentions in the Appendix that Paraguay had Thompson (0.45 inch) smgs. Do we know how many they received during the conflict and does anyone have a photo of a Paraguayan so armed?

Thank you for your time.

Helen

Paraguay received a small batch of Thompsons donated by an argentinian lady. It is recorded that about 47 or 50 of the semi-automatic model 1927 were granted to paraguayan troops in 1932. Because of the small qtty, I'm afraid it would be really difficult to find a picture of a paraguayan soldier armed with one
