Lithuanian Army records 1930's

Postby Renner aus Schlesien on 21 Mar 2008 19:41

Hello - I was wondering if Lithuanian Army records are available from the interwar era ? I have a relative who was in the Lithuanian Army in the late 20s/early 30s and I was hoping someone could direct me as to what resources are available...I live in the US by the way.
Thanks

I have a self portrait of my father done in mid 40's using a photograph of himself in military uniform in the 30's. He died when I was only three and I am trying to find if there are any records that would help me source any family that may exist in Lithuania. Because he is in uniform I was hoping a good place to start would be through records of names and service in Lithuania
