Hi guys

I wrote the following book back in 2000 around the Irish Civil War. I don't remember all the details, but Roll Royce Whippets were used, Lee Enfields, mills bombs etc.

My book is faction - so it contains the true history and a fictional character used to tell the story.

Here's a link if anyone is interested. It is well researched.

Two more articles on the Civil War here; both on how the war descended into something more like a vendetta rather than a military conflict in its last few months.

I know this is an old post but I am hoping I can reach you Mr. Walsh.
Many thanks for your detailled answer above. I recognised your name from a list of references from Ralph Riccio book "AFV in Irisih service since 1922". The links tot A.F.V.s in the Irish Civil War you provided is however no longer available. Is this and the other articles you mentioned availbale elsewhere?

While there are plenty of books published about the period 1916-1923 most of these are general histories. I am a modeller and am interested in more specific refernces and going on the title I think your material could be very helpful.

Any help would be most gratefully accepted,
Kind regards
Brian Kirwan
