Documents on the invasion of France and the low countries?

#1

Post by harry6116 » 30 Mar 2014, 11:39

hey all,
i'm on the lookout for documents preferably free from German and English sources describing the west campaign of May and June 1940. I ask because the US Army has printed several fantastic historical series and documents written at the time analysing German and Allied strategy. the problem is there is such a glut of information that I do not know where to begin to look.
thanks for any help

Hi, Mike - what I miss are Dutch, Belgian and French sources as few are translated into English.

Fred
River Wide, Ocean Deep - a book about Operation Sealion:

Saving MacArthur - an eight-book series on the Pacific War:

It would be good to hear from the Belgians and the Dutch. Communiqués, radio broadcasts that kind of stuff. The only radio I have heard from the Dutch was the communicate from the Royal family on May 10

Better to start here : http://www.waroverholland.nl/ for a more realistic view on what happened in the Netherlands.
