Escorts of convoys SC-161 and SC-162

Hello,

I've a question regarding the escort of convoys SC-161 and SC-162 in November/December 1944.
I found on convoyweb as well as naval-history that a group of frigates (3rd Escort Group) took part in the escort of SC-161 on the 2nd & 3rd of December.
The same ships (HMS Cooke, Domett, Duckworth, Essington and Rowley) are also listed as taking part in escort of SC-162 between the 3rd and 5th of December.

There is something that seems wrong here : SC-162 started 16 days later than SC-161.
The 3rd of December was the 17th day out of Halifax for SC-161 (and just two days before its arrival at Liverpool), while it was only the second day out for SC-162.

Does anyone have further information regarding the escorts of those two convoys ?
Olivier
