I saw O'Rielly make his infamous 'US Paratroops are the ones who massacred German troops during the Bulge' gaffe a while back. He also tried to claim he was a 'combat reporter' during The Falklands because he ran away during a riot in Argentina. More recently as a result of his 'well-fed and housed slaves' version of history he got a couple of his Fox chums to puff him up and disparage his critics because 'he writes books on history' and thus knows what he is talking about.
Standards must be lower on US TV as this type of ignorant and ill-informed presenter would not last 5 mins in the UK.
Perhaps the best that can be said he is not as bad as Pat Buchannan on the story of WW2!

Was that the 2005 gaffe or from the 2006 one?

You do know that "Hitlers Last Days" is a dumbed-down teenager-oriented version of his dumbed-down adult-oriented "Killing Patton" don't you?

Twice the dumb for the same price...

Seriously, there is a lot of far better material out there concerning the final days of the Third Reich.

O Reilly can always Feign ignorance and that any Historical Distortions were unintentional considering his good intentions based on actual story.

The Panther II on display at a Museum is a one of a kind Historical Decoy pieced together with differing components that were never originally fitted.
The Museum having a Regular Panther Turret Placed atop a captured Chassis, prototypes produced, V 1 V 2 reported.
The Panther II idea remained, with no completed versions produced.

The designation Panther II , Officially or Not, apparently applied to anything with a Panther Chassis, the Jagd Panther one example.
