historic weather data

Post by JC » 15 Sep 2014, 22:05

Does anyone have or know where I can find weather data for areas of the Eastern Front during the war? I had in mind that I had seen a website with the info at sometime in the past, but searching now I can't find anything from before 1945.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks...........Jeff

Here is a link to weather data, and battle info, for the battle of Kursk.

http://dsweb.svc.ops.eu.uu.net/town/avenue/vy75/

You might need to click on a sub link or two.

Hello

This is an excellent site run by the Royal Neth. Institute for Meteorology, among its pages is the next, it gives you the daily data for stations that they have by entering the coordinates and choosing the site:
http://climexp.knmi.nl/selectdailyserie ... @somewhere

For example, the daily max. Temps data for Ryazan from 1925 is in the next link:

http://climexp.knmi.nl/ecatmax.cgi?id=s ... extraargs=

Now searching for a specific date will be terrible and time consuming but none the less enlightening. There is a better site but in Russian (provided by our colleague Art) somewhere in the forum.
